Tasting Notes
Five Generations is a limited edition of 510 bottles of beer, brewed over ten years ago in preparation for our 150th anniversary celebrations in 2024.
It was in 1874 that George Bateman started the exciting story of his Brewery and here we are over 150 years later with George’s Great-Great-Grand Children, the fifth generation, looking to get involved in the running of our family Brewery.
They are as passionate about beer, pubs and independence as the previous four generations. This Limited Edition beer, which has been conditioning in bottle for over ten years, is to toast the Brewery’s colourful past and future successes.
Crafted with English pale, crystal and chocolate malts and hopped with English Goldings and Challenger hops. Due to its age and conditioning the beer has a hint of sediment and a fashionable haze - celebrate!
NB: This beer may contain a sediment, so should be stood upright, allowed to settle, and poured carefully.
