Tasting Notes

SKULL & HAMMERS - 5.5%
This pale, hoppy small batch American IPA is brewed and late hopped with American Hops to produce an aromatic nose, citrus taste and piney finish.

TRIPLE XB (XXXB) - 4.8%
The bottled version of our award-winning tawny bitter. With three malts and three hop varieties, Triple XB is bursting with aroma and flavour. 

The delicate aroma of biscuit and fruit unleashes a distinctive peppery, fruit flavour, which is followed by earthy hops and a dry maltiness.

VICTORY ALE - 6.0%
One of Bateman’s most popular beers. 

Victory Ale is brewed with pale and crystal malts and hopped with English Goldings and Challenger varieties. A distinctive, peppery hop and bitter orange aroma is followed by big hops and fruit flavours with a lingering hop bitterness.

COMBINED HARVEST - 4.7%
The original multigrain beer – a brewing first from Batemans. 

This generously flavoured, dark golden beer is brewed with pale barley malts combined with wheat, oats and rye malts. It hits the mouth with a wonderful quenching flavour full of hops, citrus fruits and biscuit malts.

TRIPLE HOP IPA - 5.3%

Created over 200 years ago in England, India Pale Ale was brewed strong and packed with hops to help survive the long sea journey to the British Empire in India.

Now a beer style brewed around the world, the USA is the largest hop grower to satisfy their thirst for the American IPA. Triple Hop IPA has a rich malt backbone, beautifully balanced by a marmalade bitterness with layers of tropical fruits.

5G - 4.2%
Brewed to celebrate over 150 years of Batemans Brewery and five generations of the Batemans family, this light amber Session IPA features Maris Otter pale and oat malts, delivering a smooth, biscuity flavour complemented by a vibrant hop aroma of peach, pineapple, mango, and passionfruit.

VOLK - 4.2%

Before the advent of modern craft brewing, a sessionable beer was simply a beer with a lower alcohol content, brewed to quench a thirst and to be consumed in volume.

USA craft brewers defined themselves primarily with signature strong IPAs for savouring, however they needed a thirst quenching beer for their taprooms. These became their Session Pale Ales. Named after the Slavic word for 'Wolf' this golden Session Pale Ale has a blend of subtle spice, bold citrus and stone fruit from Wolf, Bobek and Eagle hops grown in the famed Styrian region of Slovenia.
